Reusable Sewn Holiday Gift Bag Class | All $ to Treehouse for Foster Children

Friends, Tis the season!

Let's make reusable holiday gift bags to delight friends and family this year and beyond.

LUCKY Friday, November 13th, 2026 from 10a-11:30a.

Join me for a couple of hours of cutting, sewing, chatting in community to benefit Treehouse and the wonderful work they do to support foster children and the families who care for them.

NO SEWING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY OR REQUIRED. If you're up for using a single needle industrial machine, I'll coach you. Otherwise, I will sew for you. 

All registration proceeds and donations at the event will go to Treehouse.

Here's what's in store...

You'll leave with 1, 2, or dare I say three sewn holiday gift bags in multiple sizes that you can use this holiday gift giving season.

We'll be using what's called deadstock fabric, which is NEW fabric that is available only in small yardage so usually headed for the landfill. You're going to get creative with your color combos and I'm going to have prints for every style/aesthetic: holiday, eclectic, classic, etc.

I'll have patterns for

• Wine/Bubbly Bag
• Small gift - 6"w X 4" d X 10" tall
  
• Medium gift - 10"x12"x16"
• Large/Jumbo gift - 20"x16"x30"
  • or some combo of the above dimensions depending on what looks great with respect to ratio. I'm typing this before I've actually sewn samples! hehe

What to expect

• FUN, natch!
• Time spent cutting your bag pattern from my fabric, or you can select from pre-cut fabric - PLEASE feel free to bring your own fabric if you'd like, not required.
• Selecting ribbon and other embellishments for your bag
• Hot gluing embellishments for your bag
• Gift tag art too - pens, pencils, card stock, ribbon/twine
• I'll have water - still and bubbly - and if you want to bring a hot beverage to sip please make sure it has a secure closing lid.
