St. Patrick's Day Dipped Oreo Pops
St. Patrick's Day Dipped Oreo Pops
Do you agree that everything is more fun eaten on a stick? Hot dogs (corn dogs), cake (cake pops), tootsie rolls (tootsie pops), and my favorite, OREOS!
I'm sharing my easy St. Patrick's Day dipped oreo pops that's less of a recipe and more of a blueprint for fun!
Make Your Own Dipped Oreo Pops
It's as easy as a leprechaun finding a pot of gold to make these candy dipped oreo pops.
I started by melting 1/2" cup green candy melts and white candy melts in their own glass bowls in the microwave for about 1.5 minutes.
When my candy was melting in the microwave, I lined a cookie sheet with unbleached parchment paper.
Timer beep! When nice and silky, I dipped my oreos (by hand!) into the candy. I found that doing the dipping by hand worked more effectively than using the stick in the oreo to dip.
Next, I placed my oreos on my parchment paper and sprinkled with green and white sugar sprinkles. When I had all my oreos dipped, I inserted my sticks.
Finally, I placed my cookies/sheet in the refrigerator for about an hour. I just forgot about it and went to Satsuma.
Treat Time
The perfectly chilled dipped oreo pops were waiting for us after school for a yummy treat. I limited the load to 2 pops per person on with a glass of milk. That sounds balanced, right?!
Enjoy your St. Patrick's Day and all the fun, treats and shenanigans that go with it!
