Enchanted Valentine House
Enchanted Valentine House
What's better than a Valentine's Day evening lit by candle light? How about a flame-free one with no risk of fire?! My enchanted valentine house is the perfect solution to create a family-friendly and lovely environment this valentine season.
I had a great time creating the template for this little house and adding special touches like punch outs in hearts and circles. I also created garlands from my paper punches that I strung with baker's twine for an artisan feel.
Make Your Own Enchanted Valentine House
It's so easy to create your own enchanted valentine house this holiday. Simply, print out the template below onto 65 lb. or 80 lb. card stock.
Once printed, use sharp scissors to cut along the solid outline. Be sure to note the tabs and leave those in tact.
Next fold all the tabs. This will make it easy to use your paper punch on whichever side you like. If you decide to punch the side with the full bottom tab, fold that bottom up and punch right through it like you'll see I've done here, below.
Next, cut out small pieces of vellum and glue over your punched out holes. This adds the perfect effect when lit!
Now, add some glue to the side tab and INNER side of the bottom tabs. Connect the side pieces and pinch to seal. Next, push your bottom full square piece down onto the three tabs that have been swiped with glue.
Finally, place your hand inside the house and press the base down onto the tabs. This will help seal it up.

Flameless Tea Lights Are the Key
Hit your dollar store for a few packages of these flameless tea lights. I use these every season and at the dinner table almost every night for a little soft light. Delightful!
