Flowering Goat Cheese and Crackers Appetizer
Flowering Goat Cheese and Crackers Appetizer
I find the nicest way to celebrate spring and warmer weather is by including flowers whenever I entertain. My flowering goat cheese and crackers appetizer is a great example of an easy to make and easy to enjoy recipe.
Make Your Own Flowering Goat Cheese and Crackers Snack
Start by laying out a sheet of plastic wrap on a clean surface.
Now, lay a few edible flowers around the center of the plastic wrap.
If you'd like add Herbes de Provence on top of the flowers and in a wider diameter, which will be sprinkled over your goat cheese for a pretty effect.
Add your approximately 4 ounces of goat cheese to the layer of flowers and herbs (optional).
Lift your plastic and place into a small mold such as a small bowl. I use a little condiment container with slanted sides and a semi-rounded base.
Refrigerate your cheese for 1 to 2 hours while you prepare in other ways or just relax!
Serve your flowering goat cheese with crunchy crackers to delight your guests, family and you. I love pre-sliced and toasted baguette crackers with my appetizer.
Tips and Tricks
To get a nicely rounded cheese, pre-roll your cheese into a ball before placing on the plastic wrap.
Firmly press your cheese ball into each flower petal to get a nice effect when you remove your cheese from the mold. When you do this the flower will lay flat and lovely!
