Leprechaun Leap Crazy Shake Recipe

Leprechaun Leap Crazy Shake Recipe

What's crazier than filling your toilet bowl with green food coloring to trick your little leprechauns? How about indulging in my leprechaun leap crazy shake recipe!

And by crazy, I mean perfectly wonderful and FUN! I had the best time prepping this crazy shake for St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

I've added a special little touch in my diving leprechaun that is ready to dig in! Turn these into place cards too when you treat your kids to a crazy shake on March 17th.

Make Your Own Crazy Shake

The first step to this crazy shake is getting your favorite brand of chocolate mint chip ice cream. I blended 4 generous scoops of ice cream with 3/4 cup milk in my Nutribullet. The intense blending explains why the milkshake shown here looks more chocolatey than minty.

Next, I took a butter knife and spread vanilla frosting on the rim of my mug. Add green sugar sprinkles to the frosting and freeze for 30 to 60 minutes to harden. You can leave the mug in the freezer as long as you like and pull out when read to garnish.

Finally, pour your milkshake into your mug and have fun adding St. Patrick's Day touches.

I used these garnishes

  • Jumbo rainbow lollipop I found at the dollar store
  • Shamrock sugar cookies
  • Two mint oreo dipped cookies
  • Whipped cream from the can, natch
  • My diving leprechaun
  • Green and white striped paper straw

Sweet Treats!
