It isn't easy to watch the kids grow up and out of their little kiddo stages, but it's made a bit easier by their enthusiasm for such rites of passage as losing teeth. I'm not entirely sure if it's their acknowledgement of growing older or the treats they get from that generous and surprisingly consistent tooth fairy. It's the latter, I know!
Here's what you need to make your tooth fairy glitter money
- Coins and dollar bills
- Glitter hairspray
- Glitter nail polish
- Glitter shakers
- Mod podge
- Paint brush
Here's how to make your own tooth fairy glitter money
There is more than one way to create fun and glittery tooth fairy money. I've done it a few ways.
1. Use glitter nail polish and coat your coins with this easy to create method. If you're like me you have a spare bottle of old polish in your bathroom closet or drawer.
2. Use glitter hairspray to coat anything you like especially great for covering dollar bills. It's actually the best method for dollars, but not as great on the coins. Also a little stinky.
3. My favorite method involves coating your coins and trinkets with Mod Podge and dusting with glitter. I used to abhor glitter messes, but I've evolved and we're all having lots more fun!
