As if DIY wasn't fun enough, how about sewing up a DIY baby rattle tool set for the little handy man or little miss in your life. This project makes a great baby shower gift and can even be a personalized baby gift when you embroider junior's or little miss' name on the ruler!

Here's what you need to make Baby Rattle Tool Set:

  • Jersey fabric in primary colors (or chosen print) and yellow or primary felt for ruler rattle on which to embroider. Each of my rattles measures approximately 6" long so plan to adjust up or down as necessary leaving a 1/4"-1/2" seam allowance for all.
  • Stuffing
  • Small jingle bells or can use an empty medicine bottle with child proof top and a few beans tossed in and closed
  • Embroidery Floss and needle
  • Scissors
  • Sewing machine or needle and thread

Here's what you need to do to make Baby Rattle Tool Set:

Start by setting up your sewing machine, if using, and work space. I recommend cutting your patterns then embroidering you ruler to start.

Now sew right sides together or each rattle, turn right side out, stuff with filling and rattle noise maker.

Then sew shut.

C'est tout!

Gift or hand to baby and she'll be ready to tear down the house or build it up! And if you're not up for whipping up this trio, find lots of organic baby shower gifts at Satsuma Designs.
