Clothes Pin Snack Dolls
Clothes Pin Snack Dolls
I'm always looking for ways to spice up lunch for the kids. I get bored packing school lunches and I wonder if they get bored eating it! I came up with these hand drawn clothes pin snack dolls to keep lunchtime fun and fresh for little miss.
The project could not be any easier and calls for tidbits you have on hand already. Get the kids in on the act to make these and you'll have their vested interest in enjoying school lunch all year long.
Here's what you need to make your own Clothes Pin Snack Dolls
- Clothes pins
- Fine tip black marker - I use Sakura pens for great coverage and fine details.
- Scratch paper
- Sharpies in lots of fun colors
- Tulle or scrap fabric for skirts and tops - The link here is a great 20 pack set of tulle for all your crafting needs!
- Pipe cleaners for wings, antennae and more
- Ribbon for flair, of course
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Scissors
Here's what you do to make your own Clothes Pin Snack Dolls
Start by sketching some faces and shapes that you'll transfer to your clothes pins. Have fun with designs and try all kinds of things: people, dancers, puppies (make pipe cleaner ears and tails!), fancy ladies, fairies, dinosaurs, crocodiles, more and more.
Now, redraw your design(s) onto your clothes pins making sure you're taking into account whether you'd like the opening on the top or bottom of your design.
Then start cutting, twisting and glueing all kinds of accessories onto your clothes pin snack dolls.
Finally, use them! Enjoy bringing a lot of fun to school lunches this year. Remember to update your collection with holiday fun: Halloween Ghouls, Thanksgiving turkeys for your little turkeys and all kinds of holiday fun.
Thanks for stopping!
