DIY Holiday Tea Bags with Free Printable Tea Tags
DIY Holiday Tea Bags with Free Printable Tea Tags
Happy December! I am in full craft mode and pulling out all my tools to make lots of festive fun this holiday. One project I whipped up for neighbor and girl friend gifts is my DIY Holiday Tea Bags with Free Printable Tea Tags. (I'm going to work on my Teacher Gift Tea Tags next week!)
I'm pairing these little sweeties with a Thrift Shop tea cup and saucer, or Dollar Store or Target holiday mug that I can pick up for a couple of bucks. One of the best parts of this holiday gift idea is how affordable and custom you can make these cup of tea sets.
I've designed six sweet and fun holiday tea tags for you to print, cut and glue to a bit of twine that you can then either tie around your own homemade tea recipe or use a pre-made tea bag, which is what I did.
Here's what you need for your DIY Holiday Tea Bags with Free Printable Tea Tags
- Free Holiday Tea Tags Printable - print on copy paper or a finer card stock
- Red and white baker's twine
- Tea bags. I used a few of my favorites from Flying Bird Botanicals tea. Try their lavender orange red tea, vanilla rose ceylon tea or peace of mind herbal tea. Take 10% off your order of any of these at Satsuma when you use the code: welcome10
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Here's what you do to make your DIY Holiday Tea Bags with Free Printable Tea Tags
Start by printing out your tea tags on some white copy paper or a heavier card stock if you want to go a little fancy.
Now, cut out your 1"x2" tea tags and fold in half.
Tie a length of baker's twine around a corner of your tea bag. I use about 8" of baker's twine to make a little bow and still had plenty of twine to glue into my tea tag.
Now, put some glue onto one side of your tea tag, place the end of the baker's twine on the glue and fold your tea tag shut.
That's it! You're done.
Now pair a collection of these little DIY tea bags with a dollar store mug or a batch of cookies or sweet bread to your favorite pal.
