I'm sharing my cheeky gift tags here along with three gift tag templates that you can use to create your own fun gift tags in your own humorous voice.
5 Tips to Great Gift Giving
As I shared above, giving can be as good as receiving. There's nothing like knowing that you delighted a friend or family member with a well conceived and thoughtful gift.
Here are some tips to ensure that you win at gift giving every time!
1. Slide on the recipient's shoes. Consider what makes your gift target tick.
Will she enjoy an experience, something consumable, or something that's lovely to behold.
Put yourself in your gift recipients frame of mind and visualize what their daily life entails. Can you give them something to make the days better, easier or more beautiful in some small way?
Discover what that item or experience is and give that!
2. Budget when gift giving. There's nothing worse than feeling like you overspent for yourself or someone else.
Be mindful of your financial situation when splurging for a gift for another.
Remember that personal experiences, which can be inexpensive, are always fun.
And the gift of time is absolutely free!
3. Make the packaging gift-worthy. Ensure that your gift is received with glee when you take the time to gift wrap with care.
As people are visual animals, first impressions with gift giving are important.
Use wrapping that's clean, crisp and cheerful. Add my cheeky gift tags for an extra chuckle!
4. Gift with no strings attached. Don't give gifts that rely or infringe on other people's resources or time.
Ensure that your gift is free and clear of any liens on others' availability or finances.
For example, don't give a gift of a boat cruise when you need Uncle Bob to let you use or captain his boat!
5. Give the gift of flexibility. Gift cards are not impersonal when they are given with a spirit of thoughtfulness.
A gift card to the recipient's favorite main street boutique or bistro is the type of gift that gets remembered.
