Hosting a gathering can be joyful, fulfilling and also a little stressful. I'm sharing how to host the perfect sized dinner party. I'm a believer in the adage that the more the merrier, but there truly is a perfect size for a dinner party to delight every guest.
Lucky Number 6
The perfect number of diners at a dinner party is six (6). There are so many reasons why I find the number six at a table to be the perfect number!
Here They Are...
- Tables can perfectly accommodate six people
- 4-5 guests (not including you and a partner) are easy to track for RSVPs
- 6 people talking is a golden number - 3 sets of conversations
- It's easy to switch conversations with 6 diners who have access to every guest and can make eye contact
- Every menu item will be enough for six diners
- It's easy to set a table for six people and include name cards, centerpieces and candles
