St. Pat's Hat Centerpiece
St. Pat's Hat Centerpiece
St. Patrick's Day is a wonderful time to celebrate by decorating with green, gold and glitter. My leprechaun hat vases combine a couple of these must-haves with fresh cut flowers to serve as centerpieces or party favors to share with friends and neighbors.
Make Your Own Leprechaun Hat Vases
My leprechaun hat vases are so easy to make with just a few materials.
I started by finding a small glass tea light holder to hold the water and blooms inside of my leprechaun hat. I tested the size by placing the hat over the top of the candle holder to make sure it was small enough so it wouldn't distort the shape of the hat.
Next, I added two pieces of floral tape in the shape of an X over the top of my tea light holder. This allows me to cut my blooms very short and still have them stand at attention.
Finally, I cut a hole in the top of my leprechaun hat with my X-acto knife.
I carefully filled my glass tea light holder, placed the leprechaun hat on top of it and filled with white blossoms.
I love the way this came together and plan to try this for all kinds of celebrations in the future.
