Peanut Butter Pumpkin Dog Treats
Peanut Butter Pumpkin Dog Treats
Our family wanted to give our little pup her own Halloween treats, but knowing that chocolate and gluten are no friends to our little ghoul, we made her our own peanut butter pumpkin dog treats.

Ingredients
- 1 c sorghum flour or other gluten-free grain option
- 1/2 c creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 c pumpkin
- 1/2 one small ripe banana
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Combine all ingredients in the base of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment. Mix until a dough forms.
Next, roll out your dough ball onto a lightly floured surface to about 1/3" thick. We like a chunky treat that holds up.
Use you bone or other puppy themed cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on the parchment lined cookie sheet.
If you don't have bone shaped cookie cutters, simply use a sharp paring knife to cut out your shapes. Try creating a rectangle and then rounding out the edges into a bone shape. Cheap and easy!
Place your full cookie sheet into the over and bake for 18-20 minutes or until dog treats are golden brown on the edges.
Remove from the oven and let cool.
Treat your pup immediately and then store remainder treats in an airtight container for up to a week, but they may not last that long!
Treat Someone Else
We shared our homemade peanut butter pumpkin dog treats with a few other furry friends in our neighborhood. I placed a handful in a sealable poly bag, cut out a bone shape tag and tied with baker's twine.
