Santa Belt Napkin Rings
Santa Belt Napkin Rings
We just wrapped up a successful Thanksgiving and hope you enjoyed yours too! I tried a simple, yet sweet place card idea for Thanksgiving and so the creative juices are flowing like last night's turkey gravy!
Here are my Santa Belt Napkin Rings to try for Christmas lunch or dinner this year. With the prospect of school being out soon, I thought this could be a terrific kids project. Even if they only get 4 done, that will work for the Christmas kids' table.
And if the kids get into, they could try green felt to make elves and make a festive set. I think these would make a really fun teacher's holiday gift and definitely a sweet hostess gift for grandma or auntie.
If you make your own Santa Belt Napkin Rings, I'd love to see them! Tag #satsumasmailes on Instagram and we'll share. Enjoy!
Hare's what you need to make your own Santa Belt Napkin Rings:
- Scrap felt in red, white and black
- Black or white pom poms (remember you can make your own pom poms with a little yard. Here's a quick DIY pom pom video)
- Scissors
- Glue gun and glue sticks
Here's how to make your own Santa Belt Napkin Rings:
I'm giving you the instructions for the smaller ring.
Start by cutting felt in the following sizes:
- Black - 1"x8"
- White - 1.5"x1.5"
- Red - 3"x8"
Fire up the glue gun and now cut two slits in your white square to feed the black belt through. Leave about 1/4" on either side.
Now, glue your black felt onto the red felt base, add your pom poms and you're done!
