Kale Basil Pesto
How many times per week do you feed your kiddos' pasta for dinner? I average twice; one night is macaroni and cheese and the other night is kale basil pesto noodles, which little miss calls creamy pesto noodles because it's so yummy and satisfying. I've added a little secret to the recipe in the form of kale, which undisguised would not pass my kids' sweet little lips. When kale is added to my standard basil pesto recipe it adds a flavor that complements the bite of the Paremesan cheese and lots of nutrition. Pair this pesto with a tube shaped pasta, both penne and rigatoni work well. I love this slide of pasta shapes and their names.
