Mini Heart Pizza Recipe

Inspired by my success with Valentine Heart Hot Pockets, I took the recipe in a similar but little different direction for junior to serve up his favorite food on Friday night. We'll be breaking with our traditional and beloved Taco Night for this sweet little Mini Heart Pizza recipe using Pillsbury Grands refrigerated biscuits for my pizza dough.

If you're like our family, you love pizza and what's more fun than a tiny little pizza in a heart shape to show the kiddos they're loved. I gathered the kids and we whipped up these little pizzas in no time - about 5 minutes to prep and 14 minutes to bake.

Serve mini pizzas with carrot and broccoli bites for a balanced meal kids will devour. Try these mini pizzas with your favorite topping cut into more heart shapes. As they're so small you'll want to account for portions and 3-4 per hungry kiddo will be between 1-2 slices of regular sized pie.

To make your Mini Heart Pizza

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

  • Roll out a Grands biscuit and use a heart shaped cookie cutter or knife to cut a heart.

  • Fold up the sides to hold the toppings by rolling and pinching up a little barrier to add height to the sides.

  • Spread a TBS of pizza sauce, sprinkle cheese and add as many pepperonis, olives, peppers or chicken pieces that will fit.

  • This is another reason you'll need a few per child - they're small!

  • Bake for 12-14 minutes until puffed and melty as desired. Remove, cool and enjoy!
