I love family traditions that bring our motley crew together around good food, new and oft-told stories, fun and usually a game or two. Our traditional Sunday roast chicken dinner has been waning as hot weather has kept me as far from the hot oven as possible! But thankfully, I discovered my new easy summer Sunday dinner tradition. It's Coca-Cola™ Meals at Albertsons.
If you haven't tried Coca-Cola Meals at Albertsons yet, it's a genius collection of chicken meals that you pair with a delicious side dish and a pack of my favorite King's Hawaiian rolls. Their juicy and crispy skin rotisserie chicken is delicious with refreshing Coca-Cola that we serve ice cold.
Easy Meals for Busy Summer Nights
With all the busy weekend activities in our family, it's hard to find time (or motivation!) to roast a chicken, shop, prep and cook delicious side dishes and pair it with refreshing beverages. That's when I popped over to my local Albertsons store where I grew up shopping with my parents. Everything is so easy to find and well marked including the soft drinks aisle.
Then I headed to the deli where their hot rotisserie roasted chickens were on display. I added coleslaw and rolls to take home for our tasty new summer Sunday night roast chicken dinner.
Grabbing my roast chicken dinner was made extra easy by the Albertsons deli staff who combined my chicken, coleslaw and rolls into one bag that I then took to the checkout stand without the need for a basket or cart. Did I mention that I was in and out of the busy store in 5 minutes? Yes! And back to summer fun!

With our new summer Sunday chicken dinner tradition in hand, the party designer in me turned my attention to the details that will ensure everyone enjoys themselves with a little touch of je ne sais quoi.
Easy Details that Get Remembered
I love to create ways to identify guests' cups so everyone can be confident that they're drinking their own Coca-Cola. To do this, I simply pulled a sheet of butterfly stickers from my craft cupboard and added sweet butterflies to each cup. I paired up like butterflies and guests had fun choosing their own version.
Games are always a Sunday evening tradition and summer nights are the perfect time for backyard fun. My sister and brother-in-law gave us our ladderball game a couple of summers ago and we are all a little too confident in our skills! Thankfully, everyone's a pretty good sport.
I couldn't believe how easy and affordable it was to create a new family tradition that both tastes and feels like home!
