DIY Felt Animal Masks
DIY Felt Animal Masks
What's cuter and easier than DIY felt animal masks for Halloween costumes? Not much! Except maybe those cuties who will wear these creations.
I was thinking about some easy felt masks and have been inspired by woodland creatures lately - woodland and hedgehogs. Adorable.
Here are some fun, easy and cute diy felt animal masks that you can craft with the kids in 30 minutes or less.
Here's what you need for your DIY felt animal masks
- Scrap felt - I just bought this selection of 12"x12" felt squares for our rainbow hedgehog costume (post to come)
- Glue gun/glue sticks
- Ribbon and/or cording
- Headbands or hair clips
- Sharp scissors
Here's how you make your DIY felt animal masks
Start by roughly measuring the shape and dimensions of your mask. In most cases, you can use the short side for a child's mask.
Fold in half to cut out eyes to give you a pattern to then add your appliques. Follow the patterns below for an owl, fox, cat and frog or create your own.
Start cutting and gluing and when you're finished, glue your ribbon or cording in an appropriate length to your mask.
That's it. Enjoy!
