I used a couple of months from a beautiful wall calendar from last year that I couldn't trash. Now it's a treasure!
Journal Time
For the past year I have spent a few minutes each morning writing just one page of things I'm grateful for and affirmations about how I would like to see my day take shape.
My family and friends are always included and I ask for guidance in all things. I ask for patience and balance between family time, self care and the work that I love.
I have really felt the effects of this little practice. I thought these little notebooks would be a special little gift to friends invite them to take a little time to write down their own gifts and goals.
Gifting
These sweet little paper notebooks make excellent birthday and hostess gifts for girl friends. They are also nice for Dad who loves to keep a little notebook in his back pocked or car console to write down all those gift ideas he has for you!
Pair a DIY notebook with a favorite brand of pen or pretty pencil for a perfect set.
How to Make your own Notebooks
The beauty of these little DIY notebooks is that you can make them whatever size you like.I love to have a little 3"x5" notebook on hand at all times for to do list making and fun ideas.
Start by cutting up your pretty card stock into double the length that you'd like your final notebook. Then cut up a bunch of thin printer paper for the inside pages to the same dimensions as your cover MINUS a bit to make sure the pages lay inside your cover.
Now, take a ruler and score a fold down the middle of your cover and interior pages.
Place the pages inside your cover and use a long neck stapler like the one here to staple the spine of your notebook. You'll secure your pages first in this way.
Now, take a glue stick and glue the front and back pages to your cover for an added detail.
