DIY Puppy and Kitty Mini Pumpkins
Materials
- Mini pumpkins - these white and orange varieties are abundant and inexpensive during the Halloween season. We get a bag of 8 for $5.99 at our local grocery store.
- Dark brown construction paper
- Ivory construction paper - I used a 1/2 sheet of speckled paper I had on hand. Check your paper stash before purchasing any paper!
- Scissors
- Glue stick or glue gun
Instructions
It's easy to make these friendly little pumpkins.
If you're using a glue gun, begin by firing that up.
Now start cutting out your ears, eyes and mouth with your scissors. Free hand this and have fun! Let the kids do their own just like they would design their own jack-o-lantern if you were carving these.
For my kitty eyes, I started with a square, rounded that off into an oval and then started to make a curly Q towards the center. Then I cut out the bulk of the paper leaving just a small section on the bottom for the eye ball.
Glue the face pieces onto your pumpkins in a design that appeals to you.
Enjoy!
