DIY $4 Tiered Dessert Stand
DIY $4 Tiered Dessert Stand
I am so excited to share my DIY $4 tiered dessert stand. In all my dollar store finds and creations, this is a top five winner! It reminds me of my other favorite, DIY $3 Heating Pad. For only $4 I created a great looking and festive dessert stand to present at my Donut Be Tricked! Halloween Party.
And did I mention that these DIY $3 tiered dessert stands take mere minutes to make. In the time it takes for your glue gun to heat up, you can have these done and moving onto party time.

Materials
- Black plastic dessert plates = $1 for a set of 10, which you can use to serve your desserts!
- Black plastic dinner plates = $1 for a set of 10, which you can also use to serve desserts or other treats.
- 2 small black pillar candle holders = $2 - If you can only find silver or gold metal versions, use those and spray paint them black or leave them as is!
- Glue gun and glue sticks
Instructions
Start by firing up your glue gun.
Next, place one dessert plate and one dinner plate face down at your work station.
Now, place three dots of glue on the top of one of the pillar candle holder. I placed three dots in a triangle shape.
Turn your candle holder upside down and place it in the middle of your dessert plate bottom.
Now, do the same thing for your dinner plate.
Finally, tab a bit of glue on each of the legs of your dessert plate stand and place it on the TOP of your dinner plate.
Voila! You now have a sturdy dessert stand to enjoy.
Design Notes
You can use whatever plate selection they have at your dollar store. I liked using the plastic places that can be recycled, are sturdy, and were the same color on both top and bottom.
As you can see the bottom of the plates in this tiered stand, I thought it would be nice to avoid the white bottoms of paper plates.
Also try this with the lightweight trays found at dollar store! Super fun for a wedding shower or baby shower dessert table.
