At Satsuma Kids Shop, we're all about celebrating every day moments that add up to a wonderful life. Back to school season is a perfect time to commemorate another milestone for little scholars.
I'm sharing my favorite soft baked chocolate chip cookie recipe and have added a fun little cookie topper to delight your kids.
The thing that makes this chocolate chip recipe my favorite is how soft and goey these little gems end up out of the oven. They stay together, but are so soft and yummy to dunk in milk!
I love the volume of this recipe too that makes between a dozen and 15 cookies depending on your preference. I think this is a great soft baked chocolate chip recipe to share with friends and neighbors after the first day of school for afternoon snack time.
And to add a special moment that the kids will enjoy, I add a cookie topper that celebrates their first day of school.
DIY Back to School Cookie and Cupcake Topper
To make the cookie topper pennant, simply use a piece of lined writing paper to cut out two identical long triangles. Then grab your markers, a glue stick and a toothpick and have fun creating a little message to celebrate the first day of school!
