Navy and Hot Pink Valentine's Day Banners | 3 Printables

Valentine's Day is a holiday that just screams for creativity and variation from one year to another.  If like me, you think the standard red and pink Valentine's day decor could use a little shake up, then my navy and hot pink valentine's day banners are for you!

I had you, my sweet neighbor S. and my family in mind with this fun, preppy color combo!

S. loves navy blue and white stripes with a passion. I do too and I love pairing the dark indigo with a chic and cheerful hot pink.

You'll find three variations of my banners below that I hope you'll print out and use for your Valentine's day decorating.

I had classroom parties in mind as well because the navy and pink will appeal to all the little valentines in class.

Navy and Hot Pink Valentine's Day Banner Printables

It's so easy to print, cut and string your Valentine's day banners.

Start by printing each of these 8.5"x11" files onto white card stock. You will go through ample ink here so if you prefer, send these to your local print shop for a quick and easy solution.

These are designed with 4 banners to one page, or 4-up as they call it in the print world. If you're working with a printer, you can email these or bring a thumb drive to your print shop and they can help you with this project.

If you're printing at home, open each file and print onto three pages of white card stock.

Next, use scissors or a paper cutter to trim each of your banners to size. I used scissors to cut away the white space at the bottom to create the triangle.

With each of your banners printed and trimmed, use a standard hand-held hole punch to punch two holes in each upper corner.

Try to align your holes as best you can or create a template to use for consistently spaced holes.

Next, choose a ribbon, twine or yarn to string your banner.

I chose a satin covered twine in hot pink to coordinate with the navy blue and hot pink of the banners.

Show Your Love

Once your banner is strung and ready to hang, determine how you would like to make your end loops.

I like to use an overhand loop knot. It's so easy to make and just as easy to adjust for length. Here's an overhand loop knot video tutorial to try.

With my loops in place, I start by hanging my banner on my mantel. I use 3M Command Hooks here and in my dining room as well.

Since, I love to decorate for Valentine's Day for some of January and well past February 14th, I like to move my banner around from room to room.

I start with our mantel, move to the dining room, string across our front window and maybe venture into our family room across the TV, which usually elicits quite a reaction from the gang!

Each of these banner elements is 4.25" wide so that should help you determine who many you need for a certain area in your home, classroom or office.

Do you have fun moving your decor over the season?

Valentine's Day Decorating

It's fun and easy to add sweet details for Valentine's Day. Our family's favorite is the candy, of course! I'll drop some tasty Lindor truffles into a candy dish and have them out until they last.

I love to showcase Grandma's little angels smooching on a park bench. Grandma has slowly been giving each of us her little ceramic mementos and we cherish each of them!

Design Elements

I love to share the what behind my projects. I designed these in Adobe Illustrator and used the Hoosier Daddy font for the L-O-V-E banner.

I used the standard navy blue and hot pink in the pre-set color swatch guide.
