DIY Tassels
I feel like I felt when chevron came into my life - elated, confused by my passion, and obsessed! What could possibly make me feel this way? Tassels, my friends. Tassels. Tassels are absolutely one of the best DIY projects ever because they can be used for so many purposes.
Try DIY tassels for garlands, key chains, party favors, gift toppers, place cards, jewelry, shoes, handbags. Hang tassels from chandeliers, large ones on dining chairs, from the roof, from the rafters, from your rear-view mirror! Need I go on?ย I wanted to share my passion in the form of these leather DIY tassels that I'm using as a key chain and giving as gifts as a hostess gift and 0ne to a friend just because she loves tassels too.
Here's what you need to make your own DIY Tassels:
- Realeather brand leather strips in a metallic leather. I picked up gold, silver, bronze and gun metal for $6.99 each (4"x9") and you can get 2-4 tassels from each piece.
- Leather ribbon or lacing
- Metal swivel hook or key chain ring for a more cost effective route.
- Scissors or rotary blade
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- And other findings and notions you'd like to add. Small nails or brads, ribbon, crystals and more.
