No Sew Buffalo Check Felt Coasters
No Sew Buffalo Check Felt Coasters
My no sew buffalo check felt coasters are a fast and easy craft that will have you feeling like curling up next to a fire and sipping a hot beverage.
I hope you'll try these cute pom pom lined felt coasters that require just two materials and two tools. 2 + 2 = the perfect craft!
Cozy Crafting
These no sew buffalo check felt coasters were inspired by a trip to the fabric store where I spied this great thick red and black felt.
I have found that felt is such a fun and easy material to use in all kinds of projects.
It's so easy for kids to enjoy too as it's a breeze to cut with scissors, holds glue like a champ and comes in so many wonderful colors!
Here are some of my favorite felt projects to check out and enjoy.

Holiday Gift Giving
I'm also excited about how great these no sew buffalo check coasters are as hostess and holiday gifts.
Rolled up and nestled into a camp style mug like I'm showing here is such a sweet way to celebrate the season.
Tie a ribbon and gift tag and you have a very thoughtful way to say "Thank You" or "Your Comfort (and table protection!) is Important to Me!"

No Sew Buffalo Check Coaster Tutorial
I created these coasters in my Tuesday morning craft sessions on Instagram Live.
I hope you'll join me each Tuesday at 10a Pacific Time for some crafting fun!
No Sew Buffalo Check Coaster Materials
- One 9"x12" sheet of thick felt in a red and black buffalo print or a combination of any other felt that you have on hand. You can easily layer felt to make these coaster. Try using up to 3 layers for best results.
- Pom Pom trim to your size needs. I cut my coasters to 5" square so I needed just over 20" of pom pom trim to cover the perimeter
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Scissors
- Craft mat or placemat to protect your table top
Here's How to Make Your Own No Sew Buffalo Check Coasters
Fire up your glue gun and set out your craft mat.
Start by cutting out your coaster squares in even shapes approximately 5" square.
Make sure that if you're using a lined print like my buffalo check you are cutting so that each edge has approximately the same amount of black or red for consistency.
If you present these as gifts you're going to want them to be perfecto!
Next, lay out your pom pom trim around the perimeter of your coaster.
Start by laying down a narrow line of glue on the edge of one side of your felt.
Affix the trim and keep moving around the edge of your coaster.
When you come to a corner, fold the trim so that it lays neatly and flat around the edge. Dab a little glue to secure.
As you reach the end of your pom pom trim ensure that you cut edge are tucked under for the best results.
That's it!
Now go cut a bunch more and make a coaster business! Enjoy!
